Farewell goodbye

This is more of a farewell goodbye to them but I also wanted to do my part and write a review about how great they have been the past few years. While I dont know the exact length of time I've been with Idologic, I do know it's been at least 2 years. I bounced around various hosting companies only to realized cheaper doesnt always equal better services. So I ended up signing up for their $15/month plan thanks to good old Rossman, who suggested them from the get go but I refused to pay $15/month! Well, a few months went by and I quickly outgrew my resources and bumped myself up to $30/month plan.

I love DirectAdmin and it rocks. I can't say the same for cpanel as I've used it before and it was just filled with bugs. Support has always been great and my sites have never been down for more than an hour. While their community board doesnt get that much traffic, they still do a great job of communicating with their clients. So why am I leaving?

As a sysadmin, I love to have control over my environment. I want to install what I want and while a dedicated server is a little too much for me, I opted for a VPS setup. So far so good so hopefully I dont go looking for a new provider anytime soon. Also, I've started to do some web 2.0 programming so it's important that I have certain software running that may not be available in a reseller/shared account.

Anyways, kudos to the guys at Idologic. If anyone is looking for a top notch company to do business with, give Idologic.com a chance.
