3 years and counting

This is a continuation of my last thread: http://forums.idologic.com/showthread.php?t=1050

Since the last thread, I've moved from 5 resellers to a couple resellers and a dedicated.

All I can say is that (*knock on wood*) things have been going well and I'm still very happy with my decision to work with them.

Count on Idologic to keep things going well, but count on them even more when an issue arises. They do a great job at running the show, because the show must go on, and if an issue comes up, they don't stumble around, but rather know what they're doing and have a properly matured service that they've been offering for quite a while. There is a saying about how when sh!t hits the fan, you see the true side of people, and with Idologic, there is no other side. They remain calm, get it fixed, and move on. I place my full confidence in them with website hosting.

Statistics: Just looking at the helpdesk, I've had ~136 tickets over the past 3 years, which comes to just under 4 tickets per month on average. For the amount of sites I host through Idologic, 4 tickets per month isn't a lot and it should tell you that they take care of their customers so that I don't have to report many issues, if any.

My thoughts on some of their staff members who I've worked with:
: I don't need to say anything about you, you should know how much I respect you and your dedication.

Sumith: You've fit into the organization very well and have assisted me many times now and really have a good handle on things during your shifts. Keep up the good work!

Doug: You deal with people very well and I'm glad you were brought into the team. Your involvement is sincerely appreciated.

Andrew: Whenever I've exchanged emails through the helpdesk with you, it has been a pleasure to work with you, thank you for being very kind. I wish I had more to say, but it's partly because you're just honest and do things right the first time like everyone else, and so coming up with something else to say is hard

Jeff: I've spoken with you a few times and your professional communication has been nothing short of excellent. You and have formed one hell of an offering for your clients and I want you to know that on behalf of all the clients, we appreciate the effort you both put in to get this company going. I know at some point, it was the two of you, even if it was a long time ago, and now that I've seen how that stage is, I have 100 times more respect.

To people who are not Idologic customers: Idologic has been focusing on organic growth through word of mouth because of the excellent service they offer and the customer support that they back it with. You might not see a whole lot of advertising, if any, but after reading this post, I hope you'll consider them. They've got an amazing team and each and every person they hire knows what they're doing.

You should NOT be comparing the service at Idologic to other hosts based on price, that is not a smart move. For $20 per month or whatever it costs to get started, I would just sign up for an account and get on with it, don't mess around looking at 50 other hosts or searching on google for a web host. All you will find is other brands that are going to promise more on your account alone than the whole server has, enough bandwidth to host google, and all for the price of peanuts. Do NOT waste your time on those hosts - you get what you pay for. $20/month isn't that much if you're even remotely interested in running a website of any kind, the support, uptime, and being able to communicate with a team that is large enough to support your business, but small enough to know who you are is worth much more than $20.

I really don't have as much to write as I thought I would, but I thought I'll end by saying that if my post sounded ignorant, I'm far from it. I've been doing this long enough to tell you that there's just no point competing on price unless you're in this business for a quick buck, Idologic is where it's at and you can be sure that 10 years from now, they'll still be here. I've been paying for hosting back since 98 or so, have worked with tons of businesses, and the person who referred me to Idologic, I can't thank you enough.

I'm a horrible writer so please just take this for my intent and not the specific wording.

I was actually afraid I didn't say enough about you, but I honestly just don't know what to say. I'm a firm believer in doings things right the first time, and you guys are always on it. I'm not saying issues don't come up, but even back in January of 05 or something, when both of the drives in a Raid 1 configuration went down, you guys were able to handle it.

For those that don't know - Raid 1 basically mirrors 2 hard drives so that if one fails, your data is still safe and everything can continue as normal. The odds of both failing is very low, and something they were able to handle. As weird as it sounds, I remember that happening, and specifically thanked me for being polite about it.

My post must almost sound emotional, but I'm a very objective person, especially thanks to my dad, and when you look at the #'s, Idologic is always the way to go.

Thanks for the kind words Peltier!

Not sure what else to say, besides thank you. It is always great to hear positive feedback (or for that matter, any feedback) and we're delighted you are happy. We work really hard here and it is always nice to hear customers saying that it pays off. It is really our pleasure to work with you and to serve you. We intend to stick with our steady growth, high quality, customer service-centric model, and we are always working on improving further.

So, once again, thank you so much. We look forward to working with you for many years to come.

Thanks for sticking with us for 3 years Peltier. We appreciate your continued service with us and if you feel we've continued to serve you well than credit goes to , Andrew, Doug, Sumith and the guys behind the scenes that swap memory, or plug cables.

Three years is pretty amazing, I think, in webhosting terms. We asked Doug to take you out to supper on us, at HostingCON and I understand you guys went out.

I'd like to figure out who our longest continuous clients are. I always said that if ever we break into the big leagues, we would bring our first 10 clients to Canada for a celebration.

Thanks again for allowing us to manage your infrastructure.

Cheers
Jeff

I wanna go. I've been here forever. Not sure how long since my emails only go back to '03. I remember trying to get to cut me a deal back when he was 'nothing.' (He did. And hey D, remember that downtime when we were pricing plane tickets to go to Atlanta to kick some butt? )

Yeah, I've kinda had it out with support at times but I think that has only made our relationship stronger. Idologic got to know how I felt and I was reassured that they felt the same way. Nice to have support people who understand English too.

Overall I'd give it a very high score in all departments. I'm not going anywhere in the forseeable future.

Doug did take me out and I appreciate it, although a few minutes after we got there, a band came in and was playing, so that didn't last too long and we went outside to talk.

Doug is a great guy and I'm glad I got to meet him.

I'd like to meet you guys in person one day, and so if you do have a celebration at some point, I'll come by on my own bill and buy everyone a round of drinks

I hope that things continue to go well between our two companies, I'm definitely in for the long run though.
